Zona Lee Workman
Zona Lee Workman was born on October 12, 1953, in Ogden, Utah, to Dallan and Carol Spackman. She grew up in Roy and Smithfield, graduating from Sky View High School in 1971. Following her passion for healthcare, she earned a diploma in medical and dental assisting in 1973. Throughout her career, Zona worked in nursing, labs, and office settings, serving alongside a cardiologist at Logan Regional Hospital.
In 1975, Zona married William Gerald "Jerry" Workman in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised three children and were blessed with nine grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Zona served faithfully in many callings, including Young Women President, Relief Society President, and Cub Scout Leader. She had a profound love for serving others, especially the youth.
Zona found great joy in the outdoors and creative pursuits, including camping, fishing, traveling, cooking, crafts, and photography. After surviving a brain aneurysm in 2014, she lived at Sunshine Terrace, where her sweet and caring nature continued to shine and touch the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her three children, Nicholas, Mitchell, and Cassandra; nine grandchildren, Riley, Halle, Sam, Vince, Tyson, Saxton, Macie, Charlee, and Tayee; and her sister, Dallene Hillyard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Gerald Workman; her parents, Dallan and Carol Spackman; and her sister, Sydney Spackman.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nursing staff, and hospice caregivers for their compassionate care and support.
