William Craig Wood passed away on August 2, 2026, in Visalia, California. He was born May 2, 1942, in Lewiston, Utah to Harold Gilbert and Elna Ivie Wood. He was welcomed by his parents, a brother Charles Robert and a sister Marilyn.
Craig grew up in Lewiston on a dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work. He graduated from North Cache High School and after graduating joined the Utah National Guard where he was a lieutenant and served for seven years. He married Randa Dursteller, they had a daughter Wendy and was later divorced.
He enjoyed hunting and was an avid duck and bow hunter. He enjoyed collecting knives from all over the world and Native American bowls. He was very talented and painted many outdoor scenes and carved handles for the knives he made.
He worked for Heaps Drywall, Kendrick Drywall, and Waltec as a drywall taper and finisher. He was meticulous and took pride in his work. He mentored many co-workers and taught them the trade.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gay, his parents Harold Gilbert and Elna Ivie Wood, his brothers Charles Robert Wood and Richard Harold Wood, and his sister Marilyn Freshwater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Kaweah Hospice and the Kaweah Health and Wellness Facility in Visalia, California and the many doctors and nurses who attended to him.

A graveside will be held at Lewiston Cemetery in Lewiston, Utah on September 17, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
