Our beloved Tyson Jerrick Hyde returned to his eternal home on November 3, 2026, at age 39. A cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Tyson will be remembered for his quick wit, generous heart, and larger-than-life personality.
Tyson was born and raised in Logan, Utah, and attended schools in the Logan School District. He attended Snow College, where he met Michelle, the love of his life. They both transferred to Utah State University, and they were married in the Logan LDS Temple in 2011.
Tyson began his career at Convergys but later found his true calling in construction. Exceptionally gifted with his hands, Tyson could build or repair almost anything. He established Sonic Boom Construction, proudly allowing his son, Zader, to choose its name. His craftsmanship and work ethic earned him respect, and he generously shared his talents with anyone who needed a hand.
Above all, Tyson loved his wife, Michelle, and their children, Zader and Zella. They were his greatest pride and joy. An avid animal lover, Tyson was especially attached to his 120-pound black Lab, Tuco, whom he called his third child.
Tyson loved family walks, attending his children’s performances, occasional camping trips, and visits to Lagoon. Nearly every Sunday evening, Tyson and his family gathered for dinner with his parents, where he enjoyed watching ballgames or playing basketball and cornhole. He also loved hosting rambunctious game nights with Michelle’s extended family. His jokes, laughter, and simple moments together will always be cherished memories.
Tyson is survived by his wife, Michelle; children, Zader and Zella; parents, Scott and Tawni Hyde; siblings, Pete Hyde (Kristen), Chontel Hyde, and Hallie Hyde; mother-in-law, Kris Miller; father-in-law, Dave Miller (Lonnie); sister-in-law, Melissa Sharp (Heath); brothers-in-law, Bryan Miller (Jori), Brandon Miller (Leera) and McKay Miller; and many other beloved family members.
Our hearts are broken by his unexpected passing, but we find comfort in our faith that families can be together forever. We are grateful for the years we shared with Tyson and will carry his love and laughter with us until we meet again.
A celebration of Tyson’s life will be held Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1380 Mountain Road, Logan, Utah.
Thank you to everyone who has kindly contributed to a GoFundMe established by Michelle’s sister to help Tyson’s family as they find a new normal. Our family is deeply grateful for your love, prayers, and kindness
