Theone Petersen Larsen

Theone (Toni) Larsen, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, in Logan, Utah, with both of her daughters by her side. Toni was born February 28, 1930 in Hyrum, Utah, to Harris H. Petersen and Veda Hansen.

Toni married Luane O. Larsen on May 31, 1949 in Logan, Utah. They were sealed in the Logan temple on March 5, 1954. They were blessed with two daughters Debra Virginia and Tana.

Toni had many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ. Toni’s favorite position was Sunday School, where she taught the three-year-olds. Toni held that position for 30 years, teaching with her best Colleen Baxter. Toni cleaned the Hyrum Post office for many years and even worked part time there for a while at Christmas. Toni was a great mother and housewife. Toni loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Toni loved doing cross word puzzles and reading books.

Toni is survived by her two daughters: Debra Virginia Swartz and Tana (Rick) Jacobson. She is survived by ten grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband Luane O. Larsen, grandson Jeremy Barrett, and parents Harris H. and Veda Petersen.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Hyrum City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm and also Friday morning from 9am to 10:30am at the Hyrum 10th ward.
