Sarah Primavera Hofland, 28, left this earthly life on her own terms on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her home in Logan, Utah.
Sarah was born on April 7, 1998, in Helena, Montana, and was the third daughter of Rick and Leslie Hofland. At age three, she moved with her family to Logan, Utah, where they have enjoyed living ever since.
She was raised with her two older sisters, Sydney and Courtney, and her younger brother Nickolas. The family always had pet cats as well; Sugar, S’mores, Molly, and more recently Toothless and Chickpea were a few of the feline family members.
Sarah always had her own mind and definitely arrived in this life with her own unique personality. She could not be forced to do anything she didn’t want to do.
She attended Bridger and Woodruff Elementary Schools, Thomas Edison Charter School South, and Fast Forward Charter High School. In high school she blossomed with the small class sizes and individualized attention, and she spent her senior year as one of only two art ambassadors for the school.
After high school Sarah tried out college at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, but after one semester, she decided college wasn’t for her. She then opted to move to Helena to live with her grandparents for a time, working as a chef at Hunters Pointe Retirement Community and wowing the residents with her delightful dishes. She was greatly missed when she moved back to Logan.
Sarah was a big fan of tattoos and had around 200, most of which she had given to herself. She said they gave her confidence and helped her face the world.
Mo’ Bettahs in North Logan was lucky to have Sarah as a dedicated and loyal employee for almost five years. She did an excellent job of prepping the restaurant early each morning for the rest of the day’s business, and the corporate leaders praised her macaroni salad as being the best in the company.
Sarah is survived by her mother, Leslie; her two sisters, Sydney of Denver and Courtney; brother Nickolas of Lincoln City, Oregon; three nephews and one niece; Grandma Linnea, Grandpa Ray, and various aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Rick, her grandfather Bill, and her grandmother Doretta.
There will be a remembrance of Sarah’s life on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Hyrum Civic Center (83 W. Main Street in Hyrum, Utah) from 6:30-8:00pm. All are welcome to attend.
