Sanford B. Mallory 86 of Smithfield Utah passed away on September 23, 2025 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center/Assisted Living in Logan Utah from Cardiovascular Disease. Sanford was born on March 20, 1939 in Logan Utah to his parents Sanford H. Mallory and Margaret Mae Benson Mallory. He has 3 younger sister's, Bernice Harris, Lyn Ella Obray and Lawana Olsen. Sanford as you can see basically had a house full of women to grow up with. (smile) and with his father a logger was gone on the road very often, it required him to be the protector and assist in extra earnings to provide for the family at a young age. Once in a while he could go help log trucks when he could go with his Dad.
Sanford married Arlene Harris in the Logan LDS Temple on October 6, 1960. He loved showering her with the best of everything. He loved cars and bought him and his new bride a 57 Cheverlet but was told by his wife he was not to drag race it down main street. Dad was interested in the Mechanics of things, car's, semi's, appliances and made a living with some. He also worked for Thiokol, Mountain Fuel as well over the years to provide for his family of 5 children. Sanford and Arlene had 3 boys and 2 girls.
Sanford was a rough and tough guy with his own agenda and meant well and strived to stay steady in the right things and good things in life like be a good friend, help someone who is down or in need . He has been active in his faith/religion of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was one to go to if you needed help with a scripture verse meaning. His served in many callings of trust and his favorite was being a Sunday School teacher. His goal always was to keep honoring his Priesthood and correcting when he'd done wrong. His family loves him for teaching us what our Heavenly Father and Jesus expects of us in this life so we can live eternally with them. His children are grateful we had the gospel in our lives and in our home by our parents showing us the way.
Sanford is survived by his wife Arlene, his children Brad Eastman Mallory (Stacy), Yvonne Mallory (Jasmyne), JanaLee Gygi (Scott), Tony Lyle Mallory (Diane) and Adam Quinn Mallory (Kerianna) Sanford and Arlene are proud to have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
We all as his family would like to express our gratefulness to Rocky Mountain Care Center for the last years of caring for Sanford and being his friend making his life good when his mind was always in tact it made it hard to have his body the only thing that put him there. He wasn't easy to care for being a big man as he was in stature and sometimes in attitude. lol!! WE love each and every one of you! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR LOVED ONE ALL THESE YEARS!!!!
