Ronald Bruce Johnson, our beloved uncle and brother, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2025, at his residence in North Logan, Utah, at the age of 84.
Ron was born in Inglewood, California, on June 13, 1941, to William M. Johnson and Inez Mullins Johnson, the third of four boys, Hugh and John being the oldest and Dennis the youngest. The brothers were an active, very close foursome creating stories and memories that still entertain younger family generations to this day! To say Ron “worshipped” his parents would be an understatement - he was a devoted son.
Ron graduated from Inglewood High School in 1959 and later attended El Camino Community College, transferring to Utah State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1964. He spent a few years teaching school in Anchorage, Alaska, St. George, Utah, and finally Fullerton, North Dakota, while pursuing a Master's Degree at USU during the summers. Finally, while attending Idaho State University in pursuit of additional education certification, Ron met and later married Sheryl Reinke, a nursing student from Buhl, Idaho.
Ron and Sheryl pursued their careers and made their home in Ashton, Idaho, for several years before relocating to Sitka, Alaska, where Ron taught until his retirement in the early 1990s.
Ron did not have any children and was divorced at the time of his passing. He spent his retirement years briefly in California, later in Las Vegas, Nevada, and finally in Evanston, Wyoming, for almost 15 memorable years. He relocated to North Logan, Utah, in November 2023.
Ron lived a simple life and found joy in simple things. He was both an avid fisherman and a passionate sports fan following the Aggies, Seahawks, Packers, and Caitlyn Clark, among others!!! He also loved classic westerns, playing the piano, and cooking. He showed lifelong loyalty to the Ford Motor Company as homage to his father, Bill, a lifelong Ford mechanic and business owner in Southern California.
Finally, Ron was very proud of his extended family. He is survived by brothers Hugh and Dennis as well as nephews and nieces, Darrell, Todd, Pamela, Melissa, and Jodi. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, and nephew Brian.
Burial will take place privately in Logan City Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends when the green grass and sunshine return to Cache Valley!
