Richard D Facer

Richard D Facer passed away on May 5, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1938, in Hyrum, Utah to Ray and Aleen Facer. His family moved to Smithfield, Utah when he was a young boy and that became his permanent home.

Richard married Judy Jensen on 15 November 1963 in Hyrum, Utah. They were sealed in the Logan temple on May 31, 2014.

Richard was a hard worker and always wanted to ‘get things done’. He loved going hunting with his dad, brothers and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, friends, and family camping, going on ATV rides in the mountains, taking drives to visit new or favorite places. Richard also loved growing vegetable gardens, doing rock masonry and farming. He loved animals.

Richard is survived by his wife Judy, his five siblings: Ted Facer of Alta Loma California, Lloyd (Jerry) Facer, Lynn Facer and Mae Purser of Smithfield, and Sheri (Khalil) Godfrey of Clarkston. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Carol Davis, Coy Elsmore, and Rae Butterfield. Richard and Judy were blessed to have many loving nieces and nephews and wish to thank them for all their love and support.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 12, 2025, at noon at the Seventh Ward Church, 79 East 200 South, Smithfield, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:30 am -11:30 am. Interment will be at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
