Peter Wichilmong, a devoted family man and respected captain of a fishing vessel, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Logan, Utah. Born on September 9, 1958, in Yap, Micronesia, Peter carried with him the warmth and spirit of his island home throughout his life, enriching the lives of all who knew him.
Peter’s journey was marked by his dedication to his loved ones and his deep connection to his roots. He found great joy in simple pleasures—singing karaoke with a heartfelt voice that brought smiles to friends and family alike, taking leisurely car rides around the beautiful islands of Hawaii, and cherishing every moment spent with those closest to him. Above all, Peter’s heart belonged to his family, whom he loved with unwavering passion and tenderness.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lolini, whose companionship and shared memories will forever be treasured. Peter was a brother to Antonia, John, Petra, Josephine, Carlina, Steffanna, and Tosy, each holding a special place in his life and heart. His legacy lives on robustly through his children—Clary and Vincent, Jennifer, Rocky and Kuini, Rambo, Peter Jr., Prince and Carolyn, Princess and Shane, Phil and Anna, Pierce, Presley, Priscilla and Kunischa, Patricia and Roger, Peterson and Rosa, and Presious and Fiti—who carry forward his spirit in their own families. He proudly leaves behind 37 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, each a living testament to his love and guidance.
Peter was predeceased by his father, Joseph; his mother, Mary; and a sibling, Joseph. Their memories are cherished and deeply missed.
Peter Wichilmong’s life was a melody of love, devotion, and joyous moments—each note resonating in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell, we carry his memory with gratitude and honor, forever inspired by the man who loved family above all else.
With our deepest gratitude thank you for your support during this difficult time. Your encouraging words, kindness and, love have been a comforting blessing to our family. We cannot express how much we appreciate you.
