In Loving Memory of Payton Scott Sharp

June 13, 1987 — 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved grandson, brother, uncle, and devoted friend, Payton Scott Sharp.

Born in Logan, Utah, to Blake and Kim Sharp, Payton was a man of immense character and heart. From a young age, his devotion to family was clear; he was an incredible son who provided tender care for his mother, Kim, before her passing in 2001.

Payton was a proud graduate of Mountain Crest High School, where he balanced the grit of the football field with the energy of the cheer squad. It was here that he forged "the brothers of his youth"—lifelong friends who stood by him through every chapter of his life.

A lifelong learner, Payton earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Utah State University. He brought a tireless work ethic to his professional life, serving with distinction as a Director of Sales and Project Manager at Allen Communication Learning Services. He didn’t just manage projects; he built a community, turning colleagues into dear friends.

To know Payton was to know his passions. His love for the Denver Broncos was legendary—on game day, you were either "in the game" or out of his way. He thrived on intellectual depth, often engaging in long, meaningful conversations that left everyone involved a little wiser.

Above all, Payton was defined by his radical kindness. He was the type of person who would truly give you the shirt off his back. His legacy lives on in: The roar of a Broncos stadium. The strategy of a favorite video game. The lyrics of a song that hits just right. The echoes of his perfectly timed jokes.

Payton is survived by his grandparents, Larry and Phyllis Sheen (Wellsville); his sister, Alissa Horner (Kody); and his brothers, Mickey Sharp (Amy) and Marshall Sharp (Brittney). He was a proud uncle and a pillar for his extended family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kim Sharp, and his father, Blake Sharp.

"His compassion and kindness will remain in our hearts forever. While he is no longer with us in person, he lives on through the love he so freely gave to each of us."

A Memorial / Celebration of Life will be held at his grandparents’ home, a place meaningful to him, at 145 S 200 E, Wellsville UT at 1:00 PM on April 4. Burial details will be shared at a later time.
