Patricia Jensen passed away of natural causes on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was 96 years old, blessed with a long and fruitful life.
Originally from Ohio, Pat spent many years in Alaska, where she met the most important person in her life, Lowell Jensen. Pat and Lowell were the parents of four children. Lowell passed away at an early age, leaving Pat as a single parent to finish raising their young children alone. Despite children who were not always cooperative or grateful for her many sacrifices, she held her family together with steely determination and perseverance.
Pat became a Utah Jazz fan because she had sons who loved basketball, knowing it would be a connection point for her children. The family attended many Jazz games in person at the Salt Palace in SLC. She remained a Jazz fan, watching their games with her sons, until the end of her life.
Pat had a soft spot for animals, taking in every stray cat or kitten that showed up on her doorstep, much to the delight of her children. Through the years the family had two dogs, and many, many cats. At the time of her death, Pat resided with one cat that had come into her home as a stray.
Pat lovingly supported her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. She assisted in scout projects, attended all games, read and corrected school papers, and provided rides to and from work, sometimes waiting for hours if work didn’t end on time. She frequently sent wonderful boxes filled with games, toys, and books to her grandchildren. She treated her granddaughter to a weekly lunch at Angie’s during the years she attended USU. One of Pat’s dreams was to see her grandchildren married, and she had the pleasure of celebrating two weddings. She looked forward to seeing more.
Pat and her children would like to thank the many wonderful friends and neighbors she has had, as well as her card playing group. She valued the time she spent with her companions highly and wouldn't have given away those special moments for anything.
The family would like to extend their thanks to caregivers from ComForCare and IHC Home Care, as well as all of Pat’s nurses and doctors, and everyone else who contributed to her wellbeing in the past couple of years.
Pat is survived by one brother: Ralph (Kathy), her sister-in-law, Nancy, four children: Alan, Marianne (Bob), James (Lisa), and Matthew, six grandchildren: Ashley, Wesley (Madisyn), Janessa, Savanah, Tianna (John), and Benjamin, and two great- grandchildren: Andy, and Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell, and her brother Jack.
At Pat’s request, a private graveside service was held in place of a funeral. Instead of flowers, she asked that donations be made to the Cache County Senior Center.
