Mark Larry Liljenquist, 63, passed away at his home in Logan, Utah, on June 15, 2026.
Mark was born on September 22, 1962, in Logan, Utah, to Larry Wallace Liljenquist and Charlene Hoth.
As a young child, Mark experienced a traumatic fall that resulted in epilepsy, a condition he managed throughout his life. He later survived being struck by a car in 1995 and underwent brain surgery in 2004. Despite significant health challenges, Mark continued to move forward with determination and resilience.
Mark graduated from Sky View High School in 1980. He worked for Grange Construction before pursuing the work he loved most as a self-employed house painter. Painting homes was more than a profession—it was a craft he took great pride in. He was known for his hard work, attention to detail, and the care he put into every project.
On July 14, 1989, Mark married Jeanene Boehme in Wellsville, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple in December 1999. Together they raised their family in Cache Valley.
Mark enjoyed the outdoors and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, snowmobiling, watching baseball, and painting. Above all, he loved his family and treasured the time he was able to spend with them.
He is survived by his children, Rachel (Josh) Sauer, Kyle (Kenley) Liljenquist, Amber (Colton) Blood, and Karlee Liljenquist; his three beloved grandchildren; his sisters, Leisa (Mike) Hulse and Laraine (Phil) Rawlins; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Wallace Liljenquist and Charlene Hoth, and his brothers, Brent Liljenquist and Andy Liljenquist.
Those who knew Mark remember a life marked by both challenges and perseverance. He found purpose in his work, enjoyment in the outdoors, and satisfaction in the simple things he loved. As his family says goodbye, they reflect on the many chapters of his life and the memories each person carries. May those who knew and loved him find comfort and peace in the days ahead.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with funeral expenses. Your kindness and support are sincerely appreciated.
