January 6, 1961 — April 5, 2026
Logan, Utah
In Loving Memory of Lynnette Marie Bennett
Lynnette Marie Bennett, 65, passed away on April 5, 2026, at McKay-Dee Hospital. A resident of Logan, Utah, Lynnette was a woman of immense vibrancy, courage, and a spirit that was always moving towards joy.
Born in San Jose, California, to William John Ziegler and Sandi Lee Wells, Lynnette grew up alongside her siblings, Bill and Kristen. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1979 and later attended Utah State University. On August 11, 2001, she married Trevor Bennett, beginning a partnership built on love and mutual devotion. Throughout her life, Lynnette was defined by her courage. Though she endured many hard things, she never stopped finding the dreams and hope necessary to keep her moving forward. She was a woman who was always boldly and bravely herself.
Lynnette’s life was filled with color and creativity. She had a deep love for jewelry making, decorating, and shopping. She constantly sought to bring beauty to the world around her, and saw those that she loved as the most beautiful things of all. She was an avid fan of murder mysteries and a passionate supporter of football, specifically the Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and Utah State Aggies.
Music was another great love of her life, a passion she passed down to her children and grandchildren. No matter the genre, if it had a good beat, then she could get down to it. Seeking out new and interesting music, and sharing it with those around her, continually brought joy and energy to those she loved.
A "hippy at heart," Lynnette possessed a unique sense of fashion and a goofy sense of humor that brightened every room. She was someone who could make anyone—from a family member to a checker at the grocery store—feel completely comfortable and at ease.
She was often described as a natural counselor or psychologist; she was a truly gifted listener who offered guidance that was comforting and never judgmental. She had a rare way of making people feel seen, valued, and never less than. She never had an unkind word to say, instead offering a constant stream of complimentary and encouraging words to those around her.
Lynnette is survived by her husband, Trevor Bennett; her children, Jennifer James, Heather Darley (Alex), Rainy Armstrong (Jake DeBacher), Jillian Ziegler (Shelley), and Jeff Crabtree (Vivika Corona). She is the proud grandmother of Bella James, Levi James, and Rowan Armstrong.
She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Ziegler, Kristen McPhilomy, and Terry Beaudry; her mother-in-law, Norma Bennett; sister-in-law, Tara In (Sao); her nieces and nephews, Ryan Wheeler, Katie Wheeler, Austin In, Maia In, and Kasia In; and her beloved pets, Luna and Jynx Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sandi Ziegler, and her father-in-law, James Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynnette’s name to a local charity.
