With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Luke Garrett Welton, who left us far too soon on September 27, 2025, at the age of 41 in Logan, Utah.

Luke was born on July 19, 1984, in Mesa, Arizona, to Mark Welton and Sherrie Troyer. From an early age, Luke's creative spirit shone brightly. He was a gifted artist and musician, using drawing, the keyboard, guitar, and music as powerful outlets to express emotion, depth, and beauty that touched many lives.

Known for his vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor, Luke had a special gift for making people smile. Whether through his quick wit, hilarious impressions, or the funny faces he’d pull just to get a laugh, Luke brought light and laughter into every room he entered.

More than anything, Luke was a devoted father. His four daughters Somarra Welton, Akiera Welton, Scarlett Welton, and Barbara Welton. Who were the pride and joy of his life. His love for them was unwavering, always at the center of who he was. No matter what life brought his way, Luke's heart never strayed from his daughters or the family he loved so dearly.

Luke is survived by his parents: Mark Welton, Sherrie Troyer, and step-parents Joseph Santos, Gloria Santos, and Tena Welton; his siblings: Cassie Welton, Crystal Welton (and husband Brian Lee), Cyndee Santos, Clarisa Santos, Grant Welton (and wife Hannah), Joey Santos (and fiancée Olivia Lindhart), Jade Julien (and husband Jackson), and Marly Hildebrand (and husband Kyle); his beloved grandmother Geri Hixon; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by Gary Welton (grandfather), Doug Troyer (grandfather), Claudia Gladstone (grandmother), Patty Welton (stepmother), and Bill Smith (stepfather).

Luke faced his share of challenges in life, as many of us do, but his strength, resilience, and sense of humor never wavered. He found beauty in the world through his art, love in his relationships, and joy in the simple things. His beautiful heart and enduring spirit will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the LDS Church, 100 S 200 W, Logan, UT 84321.
