Lawrence (Larry) Andrew Batt, age 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones on May 9th 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Batt, his mother Sarah Aletha King Batt and his 3 sisters, LaPreal (Dale) Kohler, Ruth (Wendell) Hansen and Marilyn (Glade) Bair and a granddaughter in-law MaeLynn Kartchner Harris and a son-in Law Burton (Lee) Harris. He leaves behind his beautiful Sweetheart and wife, Helen Keller Batt, His five children, Cordell (Lynell) Batt, Steven Batt, Pamela Harris, Marie (Gary) Blazzard and Karen (Paul) Eddington.

Larry married his sweetheart, Helen, on October 3, 1949 in the Salt Lake Utah Temple. They recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary with their children.

Larry was a man of character, honor and integrity and served others his entire life.

He worked on the dairy farm with his Dad in his early adult years. He worked at many jobs in his early married life and eventually at the USU Bookstore where he became the Manager of the Bookstore where he stayed until his retirement in 1993.

He enjoyed many church callings, but one of his favorites was being the Second Councilor in the Logan Temple Presidency and as a Sealer.

After receiving special permission from the First Presidency, he was later given the opportunity to seal many of his grand children and one great grand child.

Larry and Helen served many missions. First in England and Hamburg Germany, then in the Saint George Visitors Center and as a Sealer in the Saint George Temple. They both worked as ordinance workers and enjoyed their time with family which was their greatest joy.

There will be a service held in his honor

On Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the North Logan Chapel, 1550 East 1900 North, North Logan, Utah at 10:00 am.
