Born in Brigham City, Utah to John and Joanne Petersen. At the age of 8 moved to Hyrum Utah and spent his childhood and teen years being outside with friends. His favorite things to do were roller blade play basketball and collect basketball cards. As he got older he got a job being a stocker at short stop and then a pizza delivery guy at pizza plus once he was able to drive. He enjoyed taking his Ford bronco up left hand fork and just being a guy with his friends. He graduated from mountain crest high school. In his mid twenties he began getting into races and racing his mustang at r and r raceway with friends and family. He was always down for a good time, camping hanging out whatever that looked like that weekend. He had a few jobs before finally settling down at autoliv.
As he got older his life started to slow down and he enjoyed just being home with the love of his life Danyelle Ward, they eventually moved to tremonton. They spent 16 years making a life they both enjoyed. Watching football he was of course a Dallas Cowboys fan!
To know buckey was to know someone with pure intentions a pure heart and someone who would help if you needed it. He could always make you smile. There was never a dull moment when he was around. His family and friends are going to miss him greatly.
