Blaine Edward Udy

October 20, 1949 — September 11, 2018

Blaine Edward Udy our beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa passed away peacefully in his home September 11, 2018. Blaine was born Oct 20, 1949 to Thomas Glenn and Madge Skinner Udy. He served honorably in the US army. He married his sweetheart Judy A. Udy March 3rd, 1970 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they had five wonderful children. Tami (Colby) Nelson, Bobbi (Louie) Koppel, Jeff (Bridget) Udy, Michelle (Stan) Bennett, and Kim (Chris) Harris that he loved so much. But he loved his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren even more. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family no matter what they were doing, especially camping, hunting and fishing, but it didn’t matter what they were doing as long as they were together. He was a good sport with all the jokes and shenanigans the grandchildren would put him through. He loved to tinker and fix things. There was nothing that duct tape or baling twine couldn’t fix. He also had to read the instruction manual front to back before he would start putting something together. He had a love for animals especially his horses and chickens. He loved to show chickens and go to chicken shows. He worked for Thiokol for 38 years and loved all the friends he had there. After being at Thiokol he worked for Logan Extermination and was loved by all there including customers that would request him specifically for their yard care. He made friends everywhere he went and whatever he was doing. He was a genuine loving, caring person to all. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Udy and his sister Bonnie Fuhriman. He is survived by his brother Harold Udy, his sister Colleen Norr, his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all love you and miss you.Funeral services will be held Saturday September 15th, 2018 under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary at the Clarkston LDS church. A viewing will be held Friday in Clarkston from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 followed by the funeral at 11 am. He will be laid to rest following the funeral in the Clarkston cemetery. Please share a favorite memory of Blaine or offer Condolences to the family by leaving a tribute on this page.
